Attila Szalai joins Standard Liège on loan

Attila Szalai moved to the Kraichgau from Fenerbahçe in the summer of 2023. The 26-year-old defender made five competitive appearances for Hoffenheim in the first half of the 2023/2024 season and was then loaned out to league rivals SC Freiburg in the second half of the campaign (3 games). The Hungarian has yet to make a competitive appearance for TSG this season.

Since making his debut for the Hungary senior national team in 2019, the defender has amassed 46 international caps for his homeland (2 goals).
