Ilzer: "It's a game that we absolutely want to win"
Christian Ilzer on...
...the table in the Europa League: "It's a very big table, which was very confusing at the start. For us, it's a game that we absolutely want to win so that we're back in the thick of things and not just taking part."
...his first TSG home game in the Europa League: "We should radiate joy on the pitch. The first two home games went well, with a good atmosphere. It's up to us to inspire the spectators."
...the opposition: "They have already picked up a good number of points. They beat LASK from Austria in the qualifiers, so I've already seen them play. They play actively against the ball and are very tight in away games. They are also very robust. Bucharest are a dangerous team, they don't concede much. We'll need to play an agile attacking game and keep them occupied as often as possible."
...the team's form: "Sunday's game was a step in the right direction. It's a process that will take place step by step. We have few training sessions, but lots of games. We talk about what we need to do better. The games give us an idea of what can be improved. I was already satisfied with the Freiburg game. Now it's a matter of reinforcing that and picking up points until the winter break."
...the personnel situation: "It's unchanged from the Freiburg game. There are one or two players who have minor muscular problems, but basically we can assume we'll have the same squad from the Freiburg game."
...a possible rotation: "It was important for me to get to know the lads. How they cope with the strain. We have eight games in three weeks, that's a lot. Now we're in a good rhythm. We need good control, and we're well equipped for that in the team. We only ever think about the next game and will only look to Dortmund after that."
The opposition's form:
FCSB Bucharest are doing well in both the league and the Europa League. Coach Elias Charalambous' team are top of the table in Romania, while Bucharest are tenth in the Europa League.
Head-to-head record:
The two clubs have never met in a competitive match. Of their 18 clashes with German teams, Bucharest won only one (3-1 against Borussia Dortmund in 1957/58).
