TSG lose to strong double-winners

TSG Hoffenheim have suffered a 4-1 (2-1) loss against Bayer 04 Leverkusen. Leverkusen took the lead through Martin Terrier after making a better start to the match (17). Victor Boniface doubled the advantage after half an hour (30), but TSG stayed in the match and cut the deficit through Mergim Berisha (37). TSG ensured the game remained open for a long time but Florian Wirtz restored the two-goal cushion from the penalty spot (72). Hoffenheim push up high for a goal kick and a simple piece of link-up play puts the duo of Boniface and Tierrier through against Baumann. Boniface then squares the ball and Terrier simply needs to slot home.

Very strong from Baumann! Terrier crosses the ball into the middle and Boniface wins the aerial battle with Drexler, but Baumann reacts strongly and steers the ball wide of goal.
