TSG loan Muhammed Damar to second-tier SV Elversberg

Bundesliga football club TSG Hoffenheim are loaning 20-year-old midfielder Muhammed Damar to second-tier SV Elversberg for the 2024/25 season. The Berlin-born attacker still has a contract with the Kraichgau club until 30 June 2026.

"Mo is a young and highly talented player who possesses a great deal of potential. However, he urgently needs game time at the highest-possible level for his ongoing development, which we currently cannot offer to him due to the competition for places in our squad," said TSG's interim Head of Sport, Frank, Kramer, who continued: "Following the loan to second-tier Hannover 96 last season, which did not go optimally for anyone involved, we're now confident that we have found an outstanding solution for all parties in the form of another loan to SV Elversberg."

Muhammed Damar moved to TSG from the Eintracht Frankfurt youth setup in July 2022. In his first year in the Kraichgau, the 20-year-old midfielder made six appearances for the first team in the Bundesliga and played an additional 20 matches for the TSG second team in the Regionalliga Südwest (seven goals and nine assists). During his loan spell with Hannover last season, he played four matches in the 2. Bundesliga plus a further eight games for the Regionalliga team of the 96ers (nine goals and three assists). Since making his debut for the Germany U20 national team in October 2023, Damar has played two matches for the DFB youth category and scored one goal. Damar previously found the net six times in eight games for the Germany U19s.
