Match highlights
Stach narrowly wide
Good chance for Hoffe: A cross from the left is cleared outside the box by Jakic and Stach strikes it on the volley. The ball sails just centimetres wide of the left upright.
Hoffe lead!
That is great play! Kramaric gets the ball on the edge of the centre circle and feeds Kaderabek down the right wing. The Czech passes low into the middle, where Weghorst slots home from close range.
Kramaric adds another
A quick second goal! Stach intercepts a ball from Dahmen and passes to Prömel. He in turns sets Weghorst in motion and the scorer of the opening goal squares to Kramaric, who curls beautifully into the bottom right corner.
World class from Baumann
That’s very important! Vargas is played into the box but loses out in a one-on-one with Oliver Baumann. Augsburg subsequently have another opportunity from range via Engels; Baumann only sees the ball late but catches it comfortably.
Baumann saves
Augsburg start the second period well: The TSG defence initially cut out the interplay in the penalty area but then the ball falls to Engels, who controls it with his chest and then pulls the trigger. The ball bounces up trickily but Baumann gets across to the corner in question and manages to parry it.
Maier strikes the post
TSG got lucky there. Vargas is allowed to go on a long run with the ball before he plays to Pedersen on the left. His low cross finds Maier, who tries to find the net from 11 metres out but instead strikes the upright.
Augsburg cut deficit
Maier’s shot is initially blocked, but the ball falls to Tietz in the box and he passes it into the six-yard box, where Demirovic gets his foot to it and scores.
Weghorst on the line
Very important, Wout! A corner from Biel is met by a header from Pfeiffer. Weghorst is standing on the line and heads the ball clear.
The clincher!
Kaderabek plays a delicate ball into the path of Bebou, who takes it with his chest and runs towards goal. He stays ice-cool and scores to make it 3-1.
