Oliver Baumann to continue as TSG captain
Prior to the opening game of the season away to VfB Lübeck in the DFB-Pokal (Monday at 18:00 CET), TSG head coach Pellegrino Matarazzo has chosen the TSG Hoffenheim captain and his deputies for the 2023/24 season. Oliver Baumann will continue to wear the TSG armband.
TSG keeper Oliver Baumann, who has been the TSG Hoffenheim captain since Benjamin Hübner hung up his boots in December 2022, will continue to fulfil the role. This was decided by head coach Pellegrino Matarazzo at the end of pre-season and communicated to the squad. Baumann's deputies are Andrej Kramarić and Grischa Prömel, who is therefore a new vice-captain. In addition to the three team captains, John Anthony Brooks, Florian Grillitsch and Pavel Kadeřábek were voted onto the six-man Team Council by the entire squad.
