Cycling from Sinsheim to Kitzbühel

Rudolf Ebner travels not only to home games at the PreZero Arena by bike, but also cycles regularly to the training centre and Emil's Fan Kiosk in Zuzenhausen. The 67-year-old pensioner frequently combines away matches with bike tours too. Now, the long-term TSG supporter has even cycled to the training camp in Kitzbühel.

There are 435 kilometres separating Rohrbach and Kitzbühel if you want to make the journey by bike. An enormous journey – but a welcome challenge for TSG fan Rudolf Ebner. The 67-year-old, who has been supporting TSG since 1999, travelled by bike – not by eBike – to the training camp in the Alps. The pensioner began his journey at 6:00 CET on Tuesday and arrived in Kitzbühel at 15:00 CET on Thursday.

On the very first day, Ebner covered 203 kilometres and reached an altitude of 2,000 metres. "I just wanted to test my limits," said Ebner of the first stage of his journey, which took him past the Voith-Arena in Heidenheim, where TSG will be in action on Matchday 2. An overnight stay just before Augsburg was followed by another long trip of 160 kilometres and, after a stop in Rosenheim, the distance on the last day of the outbound journey was a short one by Ebner's standards.
