TSG drawn away to Lübeck in the DFB-Pokal first round
The draw for the first round of the 2023/24 DFB-Pokal, which took place on the "ZDF Sportreportage" show on Sunday evening, has pitted TSG Hoffenheim against VfB Lübeck. Head coach Pellegrino Matarazzo's team will be away to the third-tier outfit on the weekend of 11-14 August. The exact date and kick-off time will follow.
Pole vaulter Sarah Vogel drew the teams for the first round of the cup – and handed TSG Hoffenheim an away tie in Schleswig-Holstein. TSG will visit Stadion an der Lohmühle to face VfB Lübeck in their first competitive match of the 2023/24 campaign. The club finished top of the Regionalliga Nord last season and gained promotion to the 3. Liga in the process. The ties in the first round of the DFB-Pokal will take place between 11 and 14 August, with a precise date and kick-off time to follow in the course of the coming weeks. The Bundesliga season will begin a week after the DFB-Pokal (18-20 August).
