TSG Hoffenheim sign John Anthony Brooks
"Jay is a seasoned, tough-tackling and aerially strong defender who really needs no further introduction, as he has already impressively demonstrated his qualities across more than 200 Bundesliga appearances," said Alexander Rosen, adding: "He should and will contribute to improving our defensive stability with his experience, his vision and his presence," continued the director of football, who went on to say that a targeted optimisation of the squad had become essential in light of the extremely difficult injury situation.
"I'm delighted to be returning to the Bundesliga," said John Anthony Brooks. "I know both the league and TSG very well, and am highly motivated to get started straightaway and do my bit to help us get back on the path to success in the short term."
Since 2011, Brooks has made 216 Bundesliga appearances (12 goals) and played 17 DFB-Pokal ties (one goal) for Hertha BSC and VfL Wolfsburg. The US international also played four times in the Champions League and made five Europa League appearances for VfL Wolfsburg.
