TSG fans donate €12,000

It's a wonderful gesture from the TSG fans: close to 800 Hoffenheim season ticket holders donated almost €12,000 between them to "TSG hilft" last week. This amount was raised because TSG supporters waived the repayment of the money they would have been entitled to for the four Bundesliga home games that had to be played behind closed doors last winter due to the coronavirus restrictions.

TSG Hoffenheim season ticket holders were unable to watch the games against Borussia Mönchengladbach, FC Augsburg, Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt live at the PreZero Arena during the winter of 2021 due to the coronavirus restrictions that were in place at the time. Up to 30 June, they had the option to have the ticket costs reimbursed on a pro-rata basis or to donate the corresponding amounts to "TSG hilft". "We're very grateful that so many fans have agreed to waive their ticket refunds for our benefit," said Karl Denz, the "TSG hilft" chairman.

The total amount raised was €11,952.84. The entire amount will go to TSG hilft e.V., which will use the money for social causes. You can find out more information about "TSG hilft" here.
