Beier to join Hannover 96 on loan
"Maxi is a highly talented striker who we believe will play a really good role in our Bundesliga squad in the future. Due to the high level of competition in attacking positions, his chances of getting regular playing time with us are relatively low at the moment. In the interest of strategic career planning, we've therefore decided together with Maxi to proceed with this loan," said TSG director of football Alexander Rosen. According to Rosen, the fact that the former head of Hoffenheim's youth academy, Marcus Mann, is the 96ers' sporting director will be an additional positive factor throughout the loan spell.
Maximilian Beier is the youngest player to ever represent TSG in the Bundesliga. The German youth international took that record from Niklas Süle when he made his debut against SC Freiburg on Matchday 21 of the 2019/20 season at the age of 17 years, three months and 22 days. He has since played in nine Bundesliga games and two Europa League matches (two goals) for the TSG first team.
