Rutter joins from Rennes
"Georginio is a highly athletic and dynamic striker who also stands out thanks to his determination and strong finishing," said Alexander Rosen, the director of football at TSG. "He is undoubtedly one of the most promising young talents in French football and has specifically chosen TSG as the place to continue his development." Hoffenheim had already reached an agreement to sign Rutter on a free transfer in the summer. But following discussions with Stade Rennes over the course of the past few days, a deal was struck to bring the transfer forward.
Rutter joined the Brittany-based club in 2017, where he initially played for the U19s. He went on to make his Ligue 1 debut at the end of September.
