The Robert Enke Foundation's digital awareness-raising campaign

For ten years now, the Robert Enke Foundation has been carrying out important work on education, research and treatment of depression. The foundation has already visited TSG Hoffenheim several times as part of its ''Robert Enke Foundation on Tour'' awareness-raising project. The initiative is being continued in the Coronavirus pandemic and a digital version will be presented at our upcoming home game against Bayern Munich.

As part of its "Robert Enke Foundation on Tour" project, the foundation is offering a platform for those who are interested or affected to find out more about the condition of depression as well as how to get help. In order to make this information available to people at any time, the project is temporarily being offered in a digital format. Those who are interested or affected will have the opportunity to contact a member of the foundation's staff via an online platform next Sunday, 27 September. To do so, they will first enter a digital waiting room, from where they will be called into the chat room by the Robert Enke Foundation staff member. This will give the user the opportunity to have a private conversation with the staff member.

Members of staff at the foundation can be reached between 12:30 and 15:30 CET on Sunday via the following link: https://zoom.us/j/99823348788.

In addition, the Robert Enke Foundation provides diverse information about the condition and the work of the foundation via its homepage. Information can be accessed via the following link: https://robert-enke-stiftung.de/depression-hilfe/leistungssport/vermittlung.

The Robert Enke Foundation supports, among other things, measures and facilities that serve to educate, research and treat depression. This includes the promotion of studies and projects that deal with the condition, the organisation of events on the subject and the support of institutions that help fulfil the above-mentioned aims. The aim of the foundation is to be able to offer assistance to the widest possible range of people affected by the condition.

The project "IMPRESSION DEPRESSION - A Virtual Reality Experience of the Robert Enke Foundation" was developed to make it easier for outsiders to understand and grasp what different aspects of depression feel like. Using virtual reality glasses, non-affected persons are made aware of the condition through a 15-minute VR scenario that illustrates various aspects of the emotional and mental world of depression.
