tsg-hoffenheim.de – new website address
"We are delighted that we have implemented the long-planned move to adapt our web presence to our club name. The new domain name fits perfectly with our consistent brand management," says TSG managing director Denni Strich. "It is a further boost for our online presence, which already underwent a comprehensive graphic and technical overhaul last season," adds Ralf Pressler, head of digital performance & marketing at TSG Hoffenheim. Two-and-a-half years ago, the large "1899" logo in the PreZero Arena in Sinsheim was replaced by one which reads ''TSG'' for the same brand management reasons.
An important goal of the change in web address was to make it easier for interested parties in other countries to find the website. The domain name "achtzehn99.de" is not synonymous with the club for fans and internet users from outside of Germany. The full range of content on the TSG website is now easier to use for English-speaking users. Pressler also reveals that translated content could partially be offered in languages other than English in the future.
www.tsg-hoffenheim.de contains around 3,000 pages including the latest news and a wealth of information about TSG. Articles are split into the following categories: news, teams, fans, TSG, children, youth and business. Further content can be found under the sub-headings news, TSG.TV, tickets, events, football school, prediction game, TSG coach school and TSG fan eCup.
Ten months of preparation were required to ensure that the change could be implemented smoothly. "Thanks to our partners, SAP and the Spleen agency, we were able to get to grips with what was a demanding technical challenge. Among other things, the interfaces for some connected subsystems had to be coordinated and technically adapted," explains Pressler. TSG's online shop is the only part of the website not yet accessible under the new address. This should be available via the URL shop.tsg-hoffenheim.de by October at the very latest.
