Training resumes subject to conditions
The first TSG Hoffenheim players commenced training at 9:00 CET. Divided into small groups of two players each, TSG trained both on the pitch and in the gym. Each session for the groups, who started the exercises at staggered time intervals, lasted around two hours. In the process, a strong emphasis was placed on adhering to the hygiene recommendations. Furthermore, the players undergoing a rehab programme were supervised separately. TSG last trained together on 16 March. The players have been keeping themselves fit at home since then.
"We were absolutely delighted to see the lads again. We made use of the full day to ensure that we didn't have too many players out on the pitch," said TSG head coach Alfred Schreuder of the first day back. The sessions are not open to the public and the training centre in Zuzenhausen is closed to visitors as well.
