''warm-HEARTed'' - together for families in need
As part of the ''warm-HEARTed day of action'' organised to tie-in with the home game against 1. FSV Mainz 05 (Sunday 23 December, 18.00 CET), disadvantaged individuals have been invited to experience a TSG match in-person. Tickets have been offered to social organisations from the local area at a heavily discounted price. In addition, TSG are calling for all fans present in the ground to donate money towards helping disadvantaged local children and families.
As was the case last year, all donations will go to the ''Kinder unterm Regenbogen'' (Children Under The Rainbow) radio charity campaign. The money raised will primarily go towards supporting disadvantaged children and families who find themselves in a particularly vulnerable situation as a result of an accident, illness or bereavement. The scheme will focus on the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region, Baden and the Palatinate.
Donation boxes at the stadium
''We are a down-to-earth club with a close connection to people in the region,'' said TSG managing director Dr. Peter Görlich: ''We consider taking on social responsibility as our duty to society. Our 'warm-HEARTed day of action' demonstrates our vigorous commitment to this aspiration. Now we're counting on the support of our fans.''
Every fan who comes to the WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena to watch the match against Mainz will have the opportunity to help children in need. All those who give an optional donation above €5 will receive a small limited-edition gift as a sign of thanks. On the day of the match, donations may be given at the TSG FANSHOP or to the designated donation collectors who will be present in the stands and the area surrounding the stadium.
For all TSG fans who are unable to attend the match, donations can be given via the donation box in the TSG FANSHOP at the WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena.
