U23s claim fourth win in fifth friendly
With just over a week remaining before their Regionalliga Südwest campain gets going, the U23s have won their final pre-season friendly. "Hoffe zwo" beat 1.CfR Pforzheim of the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg 2-1 (2-1) in Mönsheim, with a Thomas Gösweiner strike and a Nicolas Wähling penalty securing the win for coach Marco Wildersinn's charges.
Their first competitive game of the new season comes next Sunday, when they pay a visit to TSV Steinbach.
Thursday
Hack also back in team training
Thursday saw Robin Hack recommence team training with TSG Hoffenheim. His return means coach Julian Nagelsmann is now only without Ishak Belfodil, Florian Grillitsch and Benjamin Hübner, plus World Cup participants Andrej Kramaric and Steven Zuber. Then there are still Lukas Rupp and Dennis Geiger, who are in rehab training.
Wednesday
Joelinton back on the training ground
Joelinton returned to TSG Hoffenheim team training on Wednesday. Among the absentees from the session, which took place at 15:00 CET, were Ishak Belfodil, Benjamin Hübner, Robin Hack and Florian Grillitsch. Others missing included Steven Zuber and Andrej Kramaric plus Dennis Geiger and Lukas Rupp, who have long-term injuries.
Tuesday
Pires returns to training
Felipe Pires returned to training with TSG Hoffenheim on Tuesday. The open session at 10:00 CET, which lasted for more than two hours, was completed by 22 outfield players and the three goalkeepers. Still absent are Lukas Rupp, Dennis Geiger, Ishak Belfodil, Joelinton and the two World Cup participants Steven Zuber and Andrej Kramaric.
Monday
First session since the training camp
Having enjoyed two days off following their training camp in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the TSG Hoffenheim players resumed training in Zuzenhausen at 10:30 CET on Monday. A total of 22 outfield players and three goalkeepers took part in the first session. Those missing were Lukas Rupp, Dennis Geiger, Ishak Belfodil, Felipe Pires, Joelinton and the two World Cup participants Steven Zuber and Andrej Kramaric.
