TSG show off culinary skills
"An interesting day with a lot of new experiences," was the verdict from head coach Jürgen Ehrmann following the team event on Saturday. "And in the end it tasted delicious," added the 57-year-old. The TSG players took part in a cooking workshop at the Event Kitchen in Globus in Wiesental, where they prepared a five-course menu under the guidance of Deputy Catering Manager Thomas Gerner.
Following a brief introduction, the Bundesliga team got straight down to work by making a smoothie. The players then divided into groups and went shopping for the five courses − salad, soup, starter, main course and dessert − before showing off their cutting, frying and stewing skills. "We were able to put together our dish in the groups ourselves," explained Friederike Abt. "It was a good opportunity to get to know the new players and to work together with them." The hard-working cooks were then rewarded for their efforts in the afternoon as they got to taste the delicious dishes they had made. "Everyone was very committed and motivated, showing a real willingness to help," praised Ehrmann.
