Fun and Action on Media Day
A popular day was scheduled for the TSG players on Wednesday morning after training. The annual German Football League Media Day, which is always held during pre-season in the WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena, features photo-shoots and filming to create images, gifs and videos of the players and the manager.
Eight media-stalls were waiting for the professionals, who were divided into six groups to produce media material for the season: Photo Action, Challenge, Trailer, 3D Scan, International Promotion, Photo Portrait, Video Portrait and Bundesliga Platforms. In addition to classic media content such as portraits and goal celebrations, there were also exciting, state-of-the-art media-stalls such as a 3D scanner, where the players had to pose for their hologram to be created, so that they can appear virtually in TV studios.
"It's fun every time"
There was also a sporty side to the proceedings, as part of this year's challenge, the players had to take on various tasks such as putting on kaleidoscope goggles and hitting various targets and goals with their newly impaired vision. In addition, a complex construction of special glasses connected to a camera made sure that the pros could see themselves as they went to shoot before going back to hit targets again. "It was a funny experience and was enjoyable," said David Otto.
The images, videos and gifs are not only used by television, but also for presenting line-ups on Matchdays; projections on big screens or for use in video games. Since the material is produced for the entire season, many players made a quick trip to the barber, even Benjamin Hübner, who winked as he said, "At least I managed to shave, which cant be said for everyone." The defender sees the Media Day as a nice change to the routine of pre-season. "It only takes place once a year and it is fun every time." You also know that the content is produced for fans and the media, so it's worth taking some time to do it. "
