First Friendly in Heumaden, U20 against Wetzlar
The Bundesliga team is set to perform for the first time in this seasons new kit on Sunday. TSG will be guests in Stuttgart-Heumaden where they will face SGM TSV Heumaden/SV Sillenbuch who play in the Regionenliga Wuerttemberg. "We enjoy playing local teams in the first few weeks of pre-season," said head coach Juergen Ehrmann. "We've had some good experiences with this, because the teams that host us might come and watch some of our home games, throughout the season." Franziska Harsch is particularly happy about the fixture. "It's nice to compete in my hometown. I know a few of the other team's players, I actually used to play with some of them." Annika Eberhardt will not be available to play on Sunday due a foot injury. "Our objective is to create chances, to play clean passes and to score a couple of goals," said Ehrmann.
The U20 team has a second friendly on Saturday at 16:00 CET. The weekend before, Siegfried Becker and Lena Forscht's team beat regional league team FC Ingoldstadt 4-0 (1-0) with Dana Leskinen (3) and Chantal Hagel amongst the scorers. TSG will travel to FSV Hessen Wetzlar without Lisann Kaut, Fatma Sakar and Paulina Krumbiegel, due to international duty with the U19 European Championships in Switzerland. Lisa Drexler, Janina Mueller, Annika Koellner and Donata von Achten will be out due to injury. Luisa Blumenthal, Klara Gorges and Anna Hausdorff, (on study trips) will also not be available. "We are currently focusing on defensive concepts in training," said the managing duo. "We want to implement these concepts against a good opponent, besides it's an opportunity to get some playing practice."
