TSG's Europe Schedule

TSG will be playing in the Champions League play-off round in August after finishing fourth in the Bundesliga last season. Julian Nagelsmann will have the chance to qualify for the Champions League over two legs. If they don’t win, TSG Hoffenheim will be playing in the Europa League in the 2017/18 season.

TSG’s opponent for the play-off round has not yet been decided, as the third qualification round for the tournament is still ongoing. 20 teams will then enter the play-off round to fight for ten available places in the group phase of the tournament. The non-champions section of the play-off draw includes five seeded teams and five non-seeded teams.

One thing is certain: TSG will not be seeded. Three seeded teams have already been confirmed: Liverpool FC, Sevilla FC and S.S.C. Napoli. All three of those teams are potential opponents for TSG Hoffenheim in the playoffs. Dynamo Kiev, Ajax and CSKA Moscow are other potential opponents.

 The Champions League knock-out phase will begin on the 13th February 2018 with the last sixteen round. The Europa League knock-out phase will also begin on 13th February 2018 with the last 32 round.
