SV Werder Bremen 1-1 1899 Hoffenheim (0-1)
Markus Babbel: The team stuck to what we had spoken about before the game very well, and were very compact in defence. It's a shame for me and for the boys that, after such a great performance, they aren't leaving with more than a point. But to be fair to Werder Bremen it's a fair result. Coming here and leaving with a point isn't too much of a disappointment.
Jannik Vestergaard: We played well as a team and worked really hard when we didn't have the ball. I think we dealt very well with the pressure they put on us in the second half, but awe switched off slightly and that was the difference between three points and one. But if you'd told us before the game that we'd take a point, I think we would have accepted it.
Andreas Beck: The late equaliser is unbelievably hard to take. Right now the 1-1 feels like a defeat. But tomorrow I'm sure we'll agree that a point in Bremen is a good one. What you saw today from us in the first half definitely had some of the hallmarks of Holger Stanislawski.
Thomas Schaaf: It was a game in which both sides played their part and played with a high intensity. We made a lot of mistakes today, and our final pass was poor. The boys are putting in the effort, no question, but we're not taking enough from games. But we deserved to get a point from the game after our second half performance.
Clemens Fritz: We were caught cold with their goal. Hey played well when we were in possession and made it difficult for us. In the second half I think we were better in the 50-50s and deserved to get a draw.
