Obasi out for eight weeks with shin injury

Due to a stress fracture of his tibia, the Nigeria international will be on the sidelines for a minimum of eight weeks before he is able to begin training again while his injury slowly repairs itself. At present he is not required to undergo surgery, he is to recieve nonsurgical treatment. "The long break will definitely be a heavy burden on Edu. I'm remaining optimistic, though, that the intensive treatment he is receiving will keep his shin problems under control. He will receive all the support he needs from us to enable him to come out of this situation 100% fit, strong and healthy", said Rangnick.
