Ibisevic fires Bosnia into the play-offs
After an opening goal by Wolfsburg's Edin Dzeko, Vedad Ibisevic doubled the lead in the 66th minute. Ibisevic and Salihovic both played the full 90 minutes.
Following the 1:0 victory in Moscow, Germany have now qualified for the finals in South Africa next year. However, coach Joachim Löw is yet to select Hoffenheim defender Andreas Beck.
Saturday was less enjoyable for 1899's Josip Simunic and the rest of the Croatian national side. Despite the 3-2 victory in a test match against Qatar on Friday, Croatia slumped to third in Group 6 following Ukraine's 1-0 victory over England and must now endure the play-offs. Simunic was unable to play due to a calf injury.
Jukka Raitala was part of the Finnish U-21 team which lost 0-1 to the Netherlands in Helsinki. Despite playing for 90 minutes, Hoffenheim's new signing was unable to prevent the defeat.
Boris Vukcevic completed a test match for the German U-20 team. The Hoffenheim midfielder played in the second half of the 3-2 victory over Switzerland.
Following his two goals against Luxemburg Marco Terrazino was able to cement his place in the leading goal scorers list during the 5:0 victory over Moldova. The 19 year old scored in the 62nd minute to put his side 4-0 up.
