The TSG Academy became an accredited high-performance centre in 2006. Since then, Academy teams have won titles including the German A and B Juniors Championships. Many of the Academy’s talented graduates have made the transition from youth to professional football, and they have all benefited from its holistic educational philosophy.

Our Philosophy

The TSG Academy’s credo is based on a comprehensive, holistic educational approach that values athletic and academic development equally. Nurturing our players’ social skills and helping them develop a well-rounded personality is also central to the Academy’s philosophy.

Age Groups

Our Teams

The TSG Academy fields eight teams in the U12 to U23 age range. The U14s and upward compete in a league system, playing at the highest possible level for their respective age group. Youngsters in the U9 to U11 age range generally continue playing for their local clubs and come to together in our kids’ development team for extra training sessions and tournaments.

Our Locations

The TSG Academy spreads over three training facilities: the Basics Centre (U12-U13), the Academy Arena (U14-U16) – both situated in Zuzenhausen – and the Centre of Excellence (U17-U19) in Hoffenheim. The U23 team has its own facilities at the professional team’s centre in Zuzenhausen.

Education

Elite Football School

As well as encouraging their sporting ambitions, the TSG Academy has always attached great importance to players’ educational careers too. Together with our partner “Anpfiff ins Leben” and six partner schools, all based in Sinsheim, we aim to ensure that Academy players leave school with the best possible qualifications they can achieve.
